I like Patrizio very much and he is, as you can see, unfailingly elegant.  He has a great little shop and his ties are one of my two favorites in Naples.

Pay Attention:   here you have a great example of how a typically well-dressed Neapolitan wears his clothes.

This is what you will see in the streets of Naples. 

Nothing forced.  Nothing obviously eye catching.  Not particularly noteworthy.   And not ‘fashion’ , nor self consciously ‘stylish’ , nor perfect. 

Solid shirt.   Higher collar.  A bit of tie space.  No patterns.   Nothing excessive with colors.  Anti-English. 

Simple suit.  Conservative cloth and color.  Wider lapels.  Higher collar.  Shoulder just  a bit off the shoulder but not drooping.  Not spalla camicia.  A bit of padding there.  A bit of chest drape, but again, not excessive by any means.   Lower buttoning point.  Typically Neapolitan suit made for Neapolitans.  Unremarkable.  Yet comfortably elegant. 

The tie.  Ofcourse typically Neapolitan pattern.   And choice of color chosen  to give a bit of ‘pop’ to an otherwise conservative ensemble. 

The only detail I find missing from what you would typically see in Naples is the straight, TV fold, white handkerchief in breast pocket.   

The only ‘conceit’ I note here is the unbuttoned collar leaf  but this is now widely adopted in Italy and has been for some time and is no longer worth looking at cross eyed, nor noteworthy. 

{Additionally,    an unbuttoned shirt cuff is another Italian conceit  which is gaining country-wide  acceptance.   Rarely see cuff links. }

Does he look happy?   To me, he looks as simple and rooted  as a Brooks Brothers prepster, but distinctly Neapolitan;  and anyone from Milan to Rome would know that he comes from Naples. 

This is Neapolitan style and it is much simpler, much less remarkable and much more effortless than many of us would make it.

That's an interesting buttonhole, cut very close to the edge of the lapel.

He has a great look. The unbuttoned collar flap is on purpose?

^ It is.... but this is a bear of a cashmere fabric so I can see how it may appear not cut through.

Nice Cruz! Do you have Mr Cappelli's business address? What would you say is the hallmark of his cravatas?

The grenadines look especially nice.  I love the color on the green.
